Poem #86: Ignite, An excerpt from Painted Truth

Poem #86: Ignite

All it took was that one little spark
That initial connection over words
Simple exchanges
This ignited the flame that lead to you melting
That flame then set desires ablaze
We came together and became a passionate inferno
A primal, visceral wildfire
That spread from our hearts and into our souls
Sometimes the fire may seem to be out
But it’s smoldering just under the surface
Red hot coals waiting to be stoked back into flames
This fire is forever and always
Once ignited the flames will never die out
A primal, visceral wildfire
That spread from our hearts and into our souls
Sometimes the fire may seem to be out
But it’s smoldering just under the surface
Red hot coals waiting to be stoked back into flames
This fire is forever and always
Once ignited the flames will never die out
