I wanna hold your head near my heart and kiss away the shadows..

I want to be your pillow, your safety, your medicine..

your eucalyptus so you can breathe deeply, freely once again

your chamomile so you can rest peacefully when you go to bed

your lavender so you can be healed of all the wrongs done and said

let my fingers brush away the water flowing from closed eyes, each tear precious and caught

let my heart melt out of me and into you, so you are known and loved and lavished upon..

you can take my tenderness like prescription pills until your tears turn to triumph and your pain turns to passion..

until then, show me what the knots in your mind look like as you tie me up to match.. make music from your migraines, thrusting to the tempo of the pounding in your head… beat me the way the world does you: unabating and unapologetic…

release into me all you can no longer stand to keep within..

and when you’ve unleashed all you withheld, collapse into my arms once more so I can..

kiss away the shadows again…
